Lullaby “Leftover” Layette Jacket

Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette Jacket

While seldom seen on Frances Suzanne, this child should need no introduction.

Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette Jacket

LG: the youngest niece of ours . . .one that receives LOTS of handmade-me-downs, yet rarely gets a new garment of her own.

Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette Jacket

If you’ve been with us from the beginning, you might see an uncanny resemblance to her two sisters – especially EA, the oldest, at this age!

Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette Jacket

Still, even with a closet full of clothes, every child deserves something all to herself every now and then . . . .don’t you think?

Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette Jacket

We had been itching to try an Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette Jacket this winter {other pieces sewn HERE, HERE, and HERE}, and found the perfect opportunity to do just that . . . .with a bit of leftover fabric from another creation made this winter.

Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette Jacket

We sewed a sz 12 mo, but found the sizing to be a bit “awkward” on LG.

Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette Jacket

Note to selves: SEW MORE CLOTHES for this child . . . .that way, sizing won’t be an issue :)! Or just add adorable lining, so that rolling up the sleeves will be encouraged.

Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette Jacket

The jacket is a sweet addition to any wardrobe, and adds enough heat / weight for most winter days.

Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette Jacket

LG was pretty excited about a} getting a new garment and b} posing for pictures!!

She is SUCH A JOY!!! ALL. THE. TIME.

Seriously, these three are just the best dressed girls, full stop.
I hope she gets to wear the jacket forever due to its”awkward” sizing as it looks gorgeous.
I’ve only seen the one picture on your blog, but to me, she looks just like her daddy in these photos.

She is darling! Handmade-me-downs are wonderful (Isn’t LG’s dress one of those? I seem to recall it on CL), but it is nice for the littler ones to get something of their very own sometimes. The floral trim is very cute! Perhaps this jacket will fit better this fall. =)

Yes, good eyes!! The dress was a PR&P entry for CL, and the floral trim was actually a find at Pottery Barn . . .shocker, right?!?!?!

She’s adorable! She looks so much like her oldest sister! I think about these girls often and how they are doing! So cute! I’m headed home next week, but not headed north of I-10 this trip! If yall are in for a road trip south…. :) One day! One day we are going to meet in person!
