Ever since sewing our first Brooklyn Pattern Co., Franklin Dress, we’ve been itching to sew another.

Well, we finally got around to doing just that.

This time, however, the lucky recipient was CL.

We love, love, love this color combination!!

Well, we might as well say, we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this fabric {you can see another creation we sewed, using a different colorway HERE}.

While we aren’t calling this a “stash bust”, we DID purchase the fabric {the little that was remaining on the bolt} without a plan. That ALMOST constitutes a “stash bust” in our books. Typically, we buy a particular fabric . . . for a particular pattern . . . for a particular niece . . . that’s just the way we work.

For this creation, we sewed a size 4 with 1.5″ added to sleeve length. Note to selves: we could have added more length to the sleeves – depending on how we anticipated it being worn {as long sleeve or 3/4 length}

Our favorite detail of the pattern might be the tucks.
