What can we say?? We were able to eek out another “Fall Fabric” outfit before football season came to a close.

This time, we chose the Oliver + S, After School Top . . . turned to a dress. After completing this modification a few times, we have come to the conclusion that this isn’t a terrific look for the lines of this pattern. The small yoke seems to get lost in the length. So, it isn’t a modification we would suggest.

We sewed EA a size 8, with a slight modification to the sleeve construction – to allow for additional piping at each sleeve’s edge.

Our goal with this dress was to “keep it simple” – crisp, clean solid colors only.

“Team Colors.”

Nothing more, nothing less.

We felt as if this addition to EA’s wardrobe might lend itself to more of the fall football season than our previous “fall fabric” sewing.

Of course, with the unpredictability of the weather / temperatures . . . one never knows.

Best to be prepared, right?!?! Not to mention, this dress gave another option for EA’s fairly scarce fall wardrobe. Especially in the dress department!
