Who’s the leader of the club, that’s made for you and me???
M-I-C . . . K-E-Y
M-O-U-S-E!!
That’s right, folks!!
We made an outfit, with an ever so slight nod to the one and only . . . Mickey Mouse!
It actually began as an outfit with Minnie Mouse in mind, but gradually shifted to the “Main Mouse”!
Using three of Mickey’s four main colors {red, white, and black . . .omitting yellow}, we sewed a Mingo and Grace, Charlie Dress {size 4T, with 1″ added to the bodice}.
Thus, giving EA PLENTY of growing room for the summer months ahead.
We mixed up the fabric print by cutting the skirt section on the bias . . . just for diversity sake {and so that we didn’t have to line anything up!}.
Hindsight tells us that we should have consulted Donald about his wardrobe plans for the day.
They clashed BIG TIME!!
The fabric {bought at JoAnns} was extremely lightweight and soft. PERFECT for “quick drying” after water rides and/or sweaty days at Disney.
Oh, and a little dancing in the streets with King Louie, Baloo, and friends.
This pattern is a personal favorite of EAs .{sewn once before HERE} . . she can’t get enough of the “twirl factor!”
**HIDEEZ: A MUST for any active child . . . only wish we had thought of them first!!
However, learning how to curtsy from Cinderella was an added bonus :)!
Have we mentioned that we have a “dare devil” / “no fear” child on our hands?!?!?!
This kiddo LOVES the thrill rides!!
She wanted to ride them all . . . over and over and over again!!
And, yes . . . the joy was captured . . . .over and over and over again!
That is such a fun dress! I like the skirt cut on the bias, and the red binding!
We had to “mix it up” just a tad . . . . it is going to be a summer favorite – the fabric is extremely lightweight, and the pattern is a comfortable one for her!
