Soooo, we intentionally sewed something for the youngest niece, LG.
You know how it goes: those poor third children . . . always seeming to be slighted on receiving new handmades.
But, this time was different. She was going to get something “all. her. own.”
We sewed the Children’s Corner, Frannie Dress (size 7, from an older version of the pattern).
The Liberty of London, Gallymoggers Reynard Pink was the perfect fabric to use while sewing this pattern.
We paired it with a bright lime gingham lining that looked sooo precious, peeking out from the armhole.
The white collar with rose piping added additional sweetness to the garment as well.
Once it was finished, the proud recipient tried it on.
She beamed . . . through and through (her growing room).
So, we asked her older sister to try it on.
This pattern doesn’t disappoint.
Each one of the girls could wear it, showing it grows well with with a child.
CL wore it with a pair of white shorts underneath – giving her wiggle room and freedom to be busy, busy, busy.
(Which she almost ALWAYS is . . .)
While LG might have been somewhat disappointed that this creation might need to be shared for a time, her approval of the garment outweighed that small piece of information.
It WILL be all hers . . . IN TIME . . .
