We love a good, classic dress pattern!
It gets us every. single. time.
Pandemic or no pandemic.
To wear or not to wear.
That said, the opportunity to sew a Children’s Corner, Lee was one we couldn’t pass up.
Better yet – it was the perfect opportunity to sew a collar from the Children’s Corner, Scallops Add-On Pack.
Scallops? Yes please!
We had been wanting to sew some of the collar variations available in this pack. As always, Children’s Corner didn’t disappoint with this pattern.
In addition, we modified the Lee to have a pleated skirt, instead of a gathered one. We just can’t refuse pleats!
Our fabric of choice was Liberty of London, Michelle E.
{Something else we can’t refuse. . .}
It was paired with Liberty of London, White for the collar.
Thanks to The Sewing Room for picking out the perfect match!
SWOON!! We LOVE the outcome!
Our vision stemmed from the out of print, Children’s Corner, Anne.
But after looking at the sleeves, we decided to slightly modify the Lee instead.
Now, we want to pleat, scallop, and sew E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G in Liberty!!
It really did come out beautifully. Is she growing up or what?
Beautiful, so very inspiring, as always!
Absolutely beautiful dress and your niece is just stunning
