Every child needs a special outfit to kick off a new school year.
Especially when one enters Kindergarten!!
Unfortunately, we don’t always get around to sewing a brand new outfit for the girls prior to the first day of school . . . but we were bound and determined to make one for a middle child, entering Kindergarten.
Perhaps it was the series, Sewing for Kindergarten, that Mie of Sewing Like Mad hosted a few years back.
Whatever the reason, we KNEW we wanted to make a new outfit happen for our “most appreciative customer.”
We sewed CL an Oliver + S, Family Reunion Dress in a size 6.
This time, we did not struggle with finding the perfect button! The one selected was an easy choice.
How in the world did CL become old enough for Kindergarten?!?!
Time: slow down!!
This kind-hearted child is growing up before our eyes.
She is socially confident, and makes friends easily.
She is quick to smile, finds joy in the small things, and is a peacemaker when problems arise.
Our hope is that these attributes will only grow stronger with time, and they will be used in all other areas of her life.
We love you, sweet child, and pray Kindergarten will be the start of something wonderful!
Such a darling dress and it complements the personality attributes you have described for the charming CL. She seems to be as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!
She’s a sweetie . . .but, as aunts, we might be a bit biased!
