When teaching a sewing class, one needs to be prepared . . .right?
And, since we had sewn a sample for the class MONTHS ahead of time . . . the sewing itself was a bit . . . FOGGY.
So, the week before our scheduled class, we decided we “needed” to sew a fresh version {complete with videos for our class participants}. This time, we sewed one for EA.
We sewed the Children’s Corner, Lillian {size 7} with a modified, ruffle collar. As a sweet addition, we included a microcheck bias tape strip at the pocket area. This sweet detail matched the inside lining of the dress, and seemed to tie it all together.
EA didn’t complain about being the recipient of our latest sewing venture, and was thankful for unseasonably warm temperatures for us to snap a few photos.
It seems like time and time again we misjudge EA’s height . . .seriously!! She is growing, and doing so QUICKLY!!
Hopefully she will get a few wearings of it this spring / summer before passing it down to her sisters.
Note to selves: GO LONG for EA . . .GO LONG. Then, we might just hit it right on!!
I love the added detail on the pockets! Sometimes little girls just seem to streeeeetch out, don’t they?!
