TWENTY NINE.
Yes, we’ve been busy {although scarce on the social media coverage}.
Yes, we’ve been sewing {always running behind our self-proclaimed schedule}.
Yes, we’ve even been taking pictures . . . for those forthcoming blog posts.
Now, the task seems a bit daunting and overwhelming.
Where to even start with sharing what we’ve sewn? Should it be done in the order we actually sewed it? Will it even be seasonal once the post goes “live”?
Ugh. Decisions!
So, please bear with us as we share the backlog of completed sewing. It may, or may not be, in the order sewn . . .or seasonally appropriate. And, for those of you that see the girls on a regular basis – we know these items are “nothing new” to you {but maybe you’ll enjoy the pictures anyway}!
Still, we want to share – dated or not. It’s fun to share. We love to use our blog as a platform to “show and tell” . . . and maybe inspire someone along the way.
We sewed a size 6 Oliver and S, Playdate Dress for EA. We added 3″ to the sleeve length – this girl has got some LONG ARMS, and 2″ in overall dress length.
And, since we’ve had a death grip on our liberty “stash”, we decided to loosen the grip and actually USE some. The fabric used was Liberty of London: Meadow {L}. The amazing thing was . . . it wasn’t as painful to let go and create as we originally thought it might be . . .
We altered the yoke portion slightly to include 3 corded “pleats” on either side of the buttons. It’s a sweet detail, and one we typically prefer over the original ruffle.
This pattern has so many cute details! Two of our favorites are the inverted center pleat, and the sweet pleats on the sleeves . . . SWOON!
So, there you have it . . . WE’RE BAAAACCCKK . . .prepare yourself!
Beautiful dress! I love the tucks on the yoke and the pretty floral Liberty!
Yay! I’m glad you’re back. I find your sewing to be so inspiring.
Aww thanks {blushing}. . .
Super cute dress!
Can’t wait to see all other outfits you have sewn.
I have a backlog of about… eight things that I need to post about, and even that feels a bit overwhelming, so I can’t imagine 29! But I’m glad to hear you are making a comeback!
I love the corded tucks on this dress!
You’re truly back! My muses have returned!
Love it! And as always the model is beautiful.
Thank you all for the sweet, encouraging words!
