WOW! We prepared to sew this dress AGES ago.
Literally . . . AGES ago!
We had sewn a bubble using this fabric, and had enough left over to squeeze out a sz 4, Children’s Corner Lucy dress.
While our style has changed somewhat since the preliminary prep of the outfit, the outcome was still cute, cute, cute!
Shockingly, CL wasn’t convinced . . .
Seriously?!?!?
It was pink. It had flowers. It had cool pockets, and even a ruffle!
She seemed to like it once we coaxed her into trying it on.
Still, when it was all said and done, she quickly opted out of the dress and back into her pink ballerina outfit and tutu for the day!
Keeping it real, people. Keeping it real.
Love the pockets! Such a cute way to do them and so sweet with the ruffle.
Thanks, Liza!! The pockets possibly had more pieces than the rest of the pattern pieces combined . . . I think.
What cute pockets and I love the ruffle, too! It’s a sweet dress, but as a mom with 2 little girls, I can understand that the ballerina outfit would be more appealing — that’s how it works in our house most of the time, too!
The lure of the tutu was just too much to resist. MUST. PLAN. PHOTO. SHOOT. TIMING. BETTER. . . .
I love those pockets so much! It is sad she did not fall in love with the dress, maybe later, when the ballerina outfit is in the wash?
Our feelings weren’t hurt . . . it will get its share of attention. EVENTUALLY :)!
What, how could she not love that?! But, I can understand the appeal of a tutu too. =)
ABSOLUTELY!! She’ll warm up to it . . .at least, we think she will . . .
