Don’t you just love it when you find a gem?
A treasure?
Something similar happened to us recently.
We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what we discovered in THE BIN . . . waiting to be worn!
While it isn’t to say we wouldn’t do things differently now, Hanna’s Sundress {by Collars etc} is a perfect combination of summer, classic, and subtle beauty.
The color combination works so well for EA – a child that tans just by walking outside.
Still, we think EA favors the length most of all – since we don’t typically sew dresses for her quite that long . . .
It really doesn’t matter what is favored . . . or by whom. What matters is that we found another dress to fill a void in EA’s closet, and she loves it!
Sew beautiful! What fabrics did you use and can you share where the machine embroidery came from?
Both fabrics were heavier weight linen . . . and if we were to sew it again, we would probably opt for a lighter-weight fabric. As for the embroidery, it is hand embroidery, and the template is a part of the Hanna Sundress pattern.
I adore it! I can’t believe you had it in the infamous bin! Julia would love that length as well….I’m sure it will fit EA for a long time!
YES! Long wearability is what we are hoping for!!
how big is your ‘bin’? You have some gems in there indeed! Such delicate colours
Sadly, there are only a few more garments left in it :(!! Why, oh why, did we not sew more when we “had the time”?!?!
Oh, that embroidery!! I love the delicate colors. It looks lovely on EA!
Thank you, Charity!! She truly adores the length . . .so, we’ll take it!
How absolutely gorgeous, and how I would love a bin like yours if it means finding such wonderful treasures inside!!
Thanks Emi! Now we only wish the bin were larger . . . .
