She’s dainty.
She always has been.
While LG has always had the most hair of the nieces {which, side note: obviously isn’t much}, heftiness just isn’t her strength.
She’s gaining on the scales now, but there was a time she wasn’t on the charts. . .our little featherweight.
Well, that said, our dainty little niece was overdue an outfit {and blog post} of her own.
So, we sewed an Oliver + S, Lullaby Layette {size: 6-12 month} for her – with the addition of some sweet, piped, flutter sleeves in the process.
EA was the “photographer’s assistant” during the photo shoot, and liked having a different role than most times. Truth be told, LG flat out ignored us most of the photoshoot {an attribute many third children possess: tuning others out in their immediate vicinity…no matter the efforts made to capture their attention}.
And although we failed to get the smiles LG’s momma would have gotten out of her, we were pleased with our “team effort” and results.
She didn’t cry, yet seemed more interested in the passing traffic than her aunt lying on her belly for “the perfect shot” . . . or her sister making strange faces, in an effort to make her laugh.
This pattern is perfect for spring, summer, or fall.
We’ve sewn the bodysuit, shirt, and pants . . . but haven’t made the reversible jacket yet {which might be the cutest of them all}.
Maybe this fall / winter. Maybe. . .
She looks lovely, the piping is a super cute extra detail.
Thank you!! She is definitely getting her “wear” out of this outfit.
Oh the lightweight babies Mine was just on the chart as a baby/toddler. So making clothes that fit these little munchkins instead of hangs on them is oh so special and rewarding Your sweet little niece looks precious in her own new romper. She looks relaxed and comfy, so high five and yep, I laughter reading the description of the photo shoot
Glad no one captured the photo behind the photo shoot :). It would have been SCARY!! As for that “lightweight baby” . . . we are interested to see what the charts say about that “title” on her one year doctor’s appointment! *We think she has made SUBSTANTIAL progress!
She is just darling! I love the little flutter sleeves. =)
Thanks, Charity {we do too}!!!
