So….we have a “tame-ish”, wild deer that regularly visits….
The girls LOVE watching her {to put it mildly} from the window…
EA actually named her a couple of years ago.
ROSEBUSH.
A fitting name for a deer, and pretty good choice for a then, 2 year old.
Sounds very….nature-y.
It stuck….as did she!
CL prays for her, but as she says – “Not that stinky skunk!” {another wildlife spotted in our backyard this winter}
After seeing this perfect fabric from Girl Charlee as part of their “Easter Sewing Contest”, we decided a “Rosebush Dress” for CL was a must!
We sewed the oliver + s, Hopscotch Dress – a very, basic knit pattern. Thankfully, since we are still warming up to knits!
The timing was perfect. KCW Spring 2015 kicks off in a week {April 20-26}, with the theme of: WILD THINGS!
Are you planning to sew along with KCW this year?? The gist?? Sew for one hour a day, seven days in a row….for your children.
We are slow sewers….therefore an hour a day doesn’t amount for much.
We sew daily for our nieces…so, our thrill during KCW is seeing OTHERS’ CREATIONS sewn for their children.
That said, we encourage you to follow along, and sew-along as KCW kicks off next week!
Remember: It’s not the amount you are sewing, it’s that you ARE sewing! We know we will be sewing, and hope you will too!
