The time has come to “Meet the Competitors” for the month of March.
It all began with the Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop, Boardwalk Hoodie and Henley … and then, the FLIPPING began!
First, as an introduction by Crystal {Stitched by Crystal} with her “flipped version” of the Boardwalk Hoodie and Henley...
And, this week will be all about the competitors! And, prizes!!
These ladies have been chomping at the bit to show you their “Flipped Creations”….and they are ready to knock your sewing socks off…..trust us! But first, a little introduction of each is in order {introduced in the order of their “Flipped Appearance” for the upcoming week}!
Sarah {The Crazy Tailor}
Hi everyone! I’m Sarah, the crazy woman behind the blog, The Crazy Tailor! I’ve been blogging for a year and a half now, and it’s safe to say that I kind of like it! The sewing community is one of such creativity and generosity!
I’m mommy to two little munchkins, and they keep me busy. I’m a unorganized seamstress and my dungeon, ahem, basement is like a fabric store threw up. I really need to get on that. I love repurposing clothes to make new things for my kiddos, and you’ll never see me make the same pattern the same way twice
Melissa {Sew Like My Mom}
I’m Melissa and I blog over at Sew Like My Mom. I dabble in pattern design, but spend most of my time caring for my little ones. I grew up as an Army brat, traveling the world and have now settled down in the South with my husband and 4 babes. I love vintage sewing machines, the color pink, and have a serious fabric addiction! Stop by my blog for projects of every style with tutorials for crafters of every skill level.
Stacey {from-a-box}
I am Stacey, From-a-Box, where I write my blog to show off the things I sew and create for my family. Our house looks like a box dropped on the neighborhood lot here in the Pacific Northwest. I am Mom to 3 kids, wife to a Risk Analyst husband, volunteer at the schools & our church, full time product manager for a software company, and a stay-at-home gal that loves her family & close friends and finds her enjoyment in creating. I am a HUGE fan of the Flip This Pattern series hosted by FrancesSuzanne and feel honored to be included in the Spring 2015 flip competition.
Raphaelle {Deux Souriceaux}
Hello! My name is Raphaëlle and I blog over at Deux souriceaux. I’m a Montreal expat living in a NYC suburb. I love anything related to textiles, be it making yarn, making fabric, or playing with it. If I let myself, I would be learning it all and forgetting to feed my family! I started sewing because I wanted to use the fabric I was creating. Now, I mostly sew clothes for my daughters but I’ve also started working on my own wardrobe. I try to balance my sewing time between items we need and projects that stimulate my creativity or teach me something. I dream of being able to create while dinner cooks itself and my girls work on their own projects next to me. Think that’ll ever happen?
Each “flipped creation” will be showcased here….Monday through Thursday of THIS WEEK {one competitor per day}. Then, on Friday, March 27, you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite of the four creations!!
*Please note: The Sew-Along closes on Thursday, March 26 at 11:00 PM CST, and there is an awesome prize package for the winner of it as well!
Winners {Competitor and Sew-Along} will be announced the following Monday!
