October “Flip this Pattern”: Competitors

The time has come to “Meet the Competitors” for the month of October.

FlipthisPatternFall14240px

It all began with the Brownie-Goose, Hattie … and then, the FLIPPING began!

First, as an introduction by Veronica {sewVery} with her “flipped version” of the Hattie...

And, this week will be all about the competitors! And, prizes!!

FlipthisPatternOCTPrizes

These ladies have been chomping at the bit to show you their “Flipped Creations”….and they are ready to knock your sewing socks off…..trust us! But first, a little introduction of each is in order {introduced in the order of their “Flipped Appearance” for the upcoming week}!

Bethany {I Married Superman}

Well hey there!  My name is Bethany and I blog over at I Married Superman. I’m just gonna cut to the chase here.  I am a wife to my own personal superman.  He’s my bestie and yes, in case you’re wondering, he does get a little embarrassed about the name of my blog.  But what can I say?  I kinda like the guy. 😉  I’m a mama to four young kids so life is a crazy, chaotic, blissful mess.

I decided a long time ago that with the whirlwind of babies, diapers, and whatnot going on around me, I was either going to go crazy and cry or I was gonna be happy and laugh.  I chose to laugh.  Most of the time.  😉 {Because believe me, you can find me on a bad day throwing royal tantrums like a toddler….}  Trying to find the humor in frustrating or awkward situations helps me enjoy life. I don’t mind making fun of myself because my hope is that maybe someone out there can relate and know they’re not alone.

So that is what I blog about. Random thoughts, a little humor, and some sewing/DIY in between. I’m excited to be here!

Rachel {Stitched Together}

RachelBIO

Hi! I’m Rachel and I blog at Stitched Together.  My husband and I have 5 children – four biologically and one through adoption from Ethiopia.  I love to sew, mostly for my girls, which is great because I have four of them!

Crystal {Stitched by Crystal}

Hi! I am Crystal and I love sewing! I blog about all of my sewing adventures over at Stitched by Crystal.  I am a wife and mommy to a 3 year old boy and 2 year old girl.  I work part time as an occupational therapist.  I got my love of sewing from my mother who taught me to sew when I was a little girl.  I got my first sewing machine when I was six and have been sewing ever since.  Before having kids I did a lot of quilting, but lately sewing children’s clothes takes up the most of my sewing time.  I am so excited to be here and to have the opportunity to share my Hattie flip with you!

Tasha {Glitter & Wit}

tasha-glitter-and-wit-bio-photoI’m Tasha from Glitter+Wit, and yes–that is a snake around my neck. I’m totally quirky + fun, which often translates into the sewing I do for my two small children (ages nearly-three and one). I’ve been married to my husband for seven years, which is also how long I’ve been sewing. I used to work as a seamstress in an alterations shop (see the bandage on my thumb?), but now stay home with my kids. I also make and sell children’s clothing and accessories in my Glitter+Wit shop. And the photo? I’ve chosen it as a big hint about my FLIP creation (and also because I look 1000x cooler with a snake around my neck). I can’t wait to share it with you (the flip, not the snake…)!

*****************************************************************************************************

Each “flipped creation” will be showcased here….Monday through Thursday of THIS WEEK {one competitor per day}. Then, on Friday, October 24, you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite of the four creations!!

*Please note: The Sew-Along closes on Thursday, October 23 at 11:00 PM CST, and there is an awesome prize package for the winner of it as well!

Winners {Competitor and Sew-Along} will be announced the following Monday!
