And, this week will be all about the competitors! And, prizes!!
These ladies have been chomping at the bit to show you their “Flipped Creations”….and they are ready to knock your sewing socks off…..trust us! But first, a little introduction of each is in order {introduced in the order of their “Flipped Appearance” for the upcoming week}!
Bernadette {Daisies and Dresses}
Hello, I’m Bernadette. I love sewing for my daughter and, luckily, she loves wearing my creations. I’ve only been sewing a few years, but I’ve been creating since I could hold a pair of scissors. I think I’ve dabbled in every craft under the sun from precious metal clay, paper craft and book binding to sewing, pattern drafting and baking. So far, sewing is what I’ve loved the most.
Summer {Sumo’s Sweet Stuff}
Hi! I’m Sumo from Sumo’s Sweet Stuff. I’m so excited to be here! It is such an honor to be included among so many amazingly talented people! I am mom to three beautiful girls, and pregnant with our first (and only!) little boy. My poor husband is finally not going to be so surrounded with pink and glitter. I started sewing right before I had my second daughter about four years ago. I had no idea how much I was going to love it, and can’t imagine my life without it. I mostly just sew clothing for my girls, but have dabbled a bit with bags and home décor. I’m starting to really enjoy sewing for myself, and it’s been fun to push myself a little bit. Blogging has really opened up so many wonderful opportunities for me to learn new skills, and meet so many wonderful people. When I’m not sewing, I’m probably reading some historical fiction and drinking a Diet Coke. Can’t wait to share my flip with you!
Teresa {Dandelion Drift}
Hi all! My name is Teresa and I am so excited to be here. I have a really hard time sitting still so I fill my free time with creating. Right now my creating tool of choice is my sewing machine. I love to sew just about everything….clothes for myself, my husband, my kids and quilting! About a year ago I decided to start documenting my creations, so I started a blog. I blog over at Dandelion Drift and would love to have you come visit. I can’t wait to share my latest creation I made with the Croquet Dress!
Jenya {While She Was Sleeping}
Once upon a time in a far away northern city that was white in winter and green in summer, there lived a girl. She was loud but gentle. She loved to make things, play her piano and cornet, and sing.
One day a warm breeze picked the girl up and brought her to the great south land that was green in winter and brown in summer. In this land there lived a boy. He was quiet and caring. One day the girl from up north met the boy from down south, and they fell deeply in love. Sometime later the boy and the girl got married and had an adorable baby. The parents called their daughter Little Monkey. The girl enjoyed making things for their daughter. You can read and see what the girl has made for her Little Monkey While she was sleeping.
Each “flipped creation” will be showcased here….Monday through Thursday of THIS WEEK {one competitor per day}. Then, on Friday, July 25, you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite of the four creations!!
*Please note: The Sew-Along closes on Thursday, July 24 at 11:00 PM CST.
Winners {Competitor and Sew-Along} will be announced the following Monday!
