We go back to tried and true patterns again and again.
Especially when dealing with knits . . .
When we sewed this pattern the first time (Sewing for Disney: HERE and HERE), we weren’t exactly sure how receptive the girls (or their momma) would be to it.
The verdict?
It met everyone’s approval!
The nieces could wear these tunics every day of the week.
They are truly a “crowd favorite” for the girls.
This past winter, we sewed three Love Notions, Origami Tunics.
There are several options for this pattern, but we chose to go with the long sleeve, cowl version for all of them.
Two tunics for EA and one tunic for CL.
For EA’s tunics, we sewed each in a size 12, and added 1″ to the tunics’ lengths.
We think this style definitely grows with a child into those “tween years.”
CL’s tunic was a size 10 and sewn “as is” with no modifications.
One thing is for certain, it is definitely made for an active child . . .
