Time and time again, we depend on the Oliver + S, Picnic Blouse when the days become shorter and cooler.
It is a terrific transitional pattern between seasons, and one that does not require much fabric.
Last fall ,we sewed the following three blouses.
Each was loved and worn {worn nearly as much as a school uniform would typically be worn}!!
The large buffalo check and micro-square dot fabrics both came from the Farmhouse Fabric tent sale.
EA particularly likes the buffalo check print because the wrong side of the garment was a soft, flannel material.
The other blouse was sewn using Emma and Georgina {C} Liberty. Again, a perk that the pattern doesn’t require a lot of fabric to make!
Each blouse was sewn as a size 8.
We added 2″ to the length of the garment, as well as 4.5″ to the sleeve length.
These additions have enabled her to get another season wear out of them!
