Tales from the Bin: The Yoke Dress

It has been a while since we have shown a “Tale from the Bin” . . .garments that were sewn well before our nieces were born, and ones that were sewn as we were learning various heirloom techniques to have in our sewing skill set.

Ellen McCarn: Yoke Dress

The previously sewn garments from the bin are becoming fewer and farther between. Sad . . .but true.

The girls’ are growing rapidly, and they have finally caught up to what is left in the bins.

Ellen McCarn: Yoke Dress

Years ago, we sewed the Ellen McCarn, Yoke Dress.

Funny thing is: this dress is actually in CL’s closet now.

Are you beginning to see how far behind we are in our blogging??

Ellen McCarn: Yoke Dress

It is bad. Almost to the point of “no return.”

Still, we are sharing – albeit a seasonal hodgepodge of posts.

Thanks for being a kind audience, and humoring us along the way!

I have been *loving* the delightful hodgepodge! And major thumbs up to you for tackling what I’m sure feels like a mountain of back projects—I for one have enjoyed all of your very hard work!

Thanks, Julie! It tickles us to hear that someone is enjoying our blog backlog. We are ready to show some more recent projects, but are using those as incentive to finish these other ones :).

I don’t think I have ever commented before (not for lack of compliments, only because I am not very confident in posting comments) but I had to say that I LOVE you blog posts. They are the one ‘bloglovin’ notification that makes me think ‘great, francessuzanne have blogged! Can’t wait to read it and see the photos!’ Your garments are always absolutely exquisite. I don’t know how you manage to select such wonderful fabric for every single piece. The sewing! The sewing is an absolute dream. I enjoy sewing but I’m a novice and it amazes me how everything you make is so perfect. I definitely need lessons from you.
Your nieces are all so beautiful and your clothing looks stunning on them. Thank you so much for sharing all your work, it is so appreciated.

It is touching to know that there are those that look forward to our creations, photos, and ramblings! You completely made our day . . .errrr, week!

How nice of you to take the time and let us know! It’s nice to know we aren’t “talking to ourselves” in these posts. Thanks again for your sweet words!!
