Our third, and final {for THAT season}, Oliver + S Class Picnic Blouse was sewn in a size 6 for EA. We added 1″ to skirt portion and 2″ to sleeve length.

This fabric was purchased on a family vacation, while taking the 2nd niece to the fabric store {you can see what she selected HERE}.

We really wanted more of the fabric, but we bought what they had left .  . . and decided “we would figure out what to make later.”

Thankfully, the Oliver + S, Class Picnic Blouse called for just enough fabric to squeeze a sweet blouse out of what we purchased.

In addition to the Class Picnic Blouses being a staple wardrobe piece for our nieces, we were put on a mission to find a pants pattern that EA would enjoy wearing. The past few years, we’ve sewn the Shwin Designs, Lovely Rita Skinnies for the girls . . . which we love. Yet, EA began to balk at wearing hers, and wanted something a little looser / more comfortable.

Enter the Zonen 09: Jacob Pants.

Okay, so we love these pants {we always have}!! We had previously made shorts from the pattern {such a fun photo shoot}, but hadn’t sewn a pair of pants yet.

The good news is: EA likes these pants as well!!

So much so, we made a second pair for her . . . and both were worn weekly through the fall and winter.

The first pair was sewn according to the directions and pattern pieces, while we took some of the flare out of the second pair {slightly . . .not by much}.

It appears these will be our “go to” jeans pattern for a few more years now {Sister momma asked just the other day if we would be sewing more for the girls as cooler days approach}!

And since they are “niece approved”, wouldn’t a lighter color {and weight} pant look good with a spring / summer blouse??  Hmmmm . . .
