Two-for-One Oliver + S, Library Dress

Oliver + S, Library Dress

“Following the instructions is the task. Sewing is merely the outcome of said task.”

Oliver + S, Library Dress

That should be coined, don’t you think??

Oliver + S, Library Dress

Time and time again, when we decide to sew a particular pattern for one niece, it leads to another niece receiving the same garment {in a different fabric}.

Oliver + S, Library Dress

It’s just easier that way!

Oliver + S, Library Dress

I mean . . . the pattern is pulled, the pieces are prepped together, and the step-by-step instructions are read and followed simultaneously as the construction is completed.

Easy-peasy, right??

Oliver + S, Library Dress

We sewed a size 7 Oliver + S, Library Dress for EA {adding 3″ to the sleeve length}.

This fabric was part of our “destash sewing” that has been going on for a little over a year now. We’d like to think we are making progress in using our accumulated fabrics, but then we buy some more . . .so, it’s difficult to say with 100% certainty.

Anyway, there’s more to come!! And, more in “sets of two” . . . just you wait!!

We haven’t succombed to making THREE {one for each girl} of a pattern yet, but we aren’t ruling out the possibility . . .

Very pretty! It looks like you had fun with the photo shoot and that she loves the dress. I think sewing garments using the same pattern simultaneously or in close succession makes the sewing faster and enables one to accomplish more.

This is so cute, and classic! Sometimes I like to sew multiples of a garment, and sometimes I find that it bogs me down. But my girls LOVE it when I make multiples out of matching fabric!

We haven’t actually sewn multiples of the same fabric, but we KNOW they would absolutely LOVE that!
