So, it wasn’t gold, and we weren’t technically on a “treasure hunt”!!

But, anyone that shares our love of sewing, fabric, notions, etc. etc. etc. will see the WEALTH  in what we found …

VINTAGE BUTTONS!!

And, a few other random vintage sewing supplies . . .

While cleaning out the family’s basement this summer, we struck it rich!

These treasures are straight from our great-grandmother’s button stash.

Although a few of these gems didn’t survive the cleaning . . .

Many of them are still on original cards {with prices attached}, although we did question the 12 1/2 cents . . .

There were some pretty intriguing buttons, as well as a TON of basic, standard neutral ones.

We are already scheming the possibilities for them all!!

This discovery  has lessened the pain of losing our childhood “button box” – and restored hope that it might too turn up one of these days!
