“My Pretty Blue Dress” {per CL}

Collars, Etc: Shoulder Button Bishop

This child!

Collars, Etc: Shoulder Button Bishop

She’s only been talking about “my pretty blue dress” {pattern: Trudy Horne‘s Shoulder Button Bishop, Creative Needle} for months now . . .

Collars, Etc: Shoulder Button Bishop

You see, we asked her to try it on prior to completion – to check hem length, fit, etc.

Collars, Etc: Shoulder Button Bishop

Then, she wouldn’t “let it go” . . . the concept of the dress, not the dress itself.

Collars, Etc: Shoulder Button Bishop

For the record: She IS the middle child.

And, as many middle children know, new clothes are sometimes few and far between.

Collars, Etc: Shoulder Button Bishop

While she is always a welcome recipient of her sister’s outgrown clothes, there is just something special about something sewn “just for her.”

Collars, Etc: Shoulder Button Bishop

Once the dress was completed, she beamed . . . while touching each and every imperfect bullion cabbage rose around the neckline stating, “there’s flowers on the back too!”

PRECIOUS CHILD!

And then came the “thank yous”, over and over and over again.

Collars, Etc: Shoulder Button Bishop

She kept a watchful eye on her dress through the weekend she stayed with us, even hunting it down at times . . . just to make sure it WAS going to be returning home with her.

Collars, Etc: Shoulder Button Bishop

Therefore, we are awarding “The Most Appreciative Customer” to . . . CL!

What a doll! And as a middle child myself, I understand her excitement and unwillingness to let it go.

I know I say this every time you post pictures of CL, but she is just darling! =)
I love this dress! The smocking and embroidery are gorgeous. I can see why she would be asking about it regularly! =)

Try Farmhouse Fabrics {https://shop.farmhousefabrics.com/stores_app/Browse_dept_items.asp?Store_id=198&page_id=17} It looks like they have the pattern included in some of their available kits . . . .not sure if you can buy it individually or not.
