Children’s Corner, Mia

Last spring, we headed to The Children’s Corner Store to make some selections for our nieces spring / summer “wardrobes.” This store NEVER disappoints, and we left with much more than “needed” when it was all said and done.

Children's Corner, Mia

But . . . as we discussed these said purchases, we realized a shocking truth: We had a FAVORITE combination!! Both of us . . . and it was the same one {okay, that isn’t too shocking because our tastes are eerily similar}.

Children's Corner, Mia

It was the favorite combination that shocked us.

Children's Corner, Mia

It was PURPLE . . .

Children's Corner, Mia

It had RIC-RAC . . .

Children's Corner, Mia

It had RUFFLES . . .

Children's Corner, Mia

And, it had MORE RUFFLES . . .

Children's Corner, Mia

To put this in perspective, this is our first purchased purple fabric to date {that we can remember, at least}! It just isn’t a color we are drawn to . . . but, the fabric was AMAZING. As in, think: LIBERTY, but without the liberty price tag! Unfortunately, we have no link for purchase because we bought the last of the fabric for this creation.

Children's Corner, Mia

We opted to make a Children’s Corner, Mia for CL {size 3}. She still has growing room in this garment, and should hopefully get some more wear out of it next spring / summer {as long as she doesn’t experience a huge growth spurt}. We hadn’t sewn this pattern since EA was young . . . and loved it then, so we figured we couldn’t go wrong now. We were correct!

Children's Corner, Mia

She LOVES it. Again, it is probably because it is a new garment – designed and sewn especially for her. How could one NOT want to sew for such a willing recipient such as this cutie?!?!?! Not us! She’s got us wrapped . . .

Children's Corner, Mia

And, this post IS a wrap! Until next time . . .

I love your creations and it has inspired me to do more sewing than I ever anticipated doing for my own little girl who is just turning 5. I work full time, so my sewing has become a happy hobby that I enjoy and my daughter loves her outfits. Thanks for sharing your lovely work and your adorable nieces. Clearly I need to add the Mia to my Children’s Corner pattern collection! Happy Thanksgiving.

Be warned: This pattern only goes to a size 4 . . . :(. Unfortunately. Double check us, though!! We are so glad you enjoy our creations, and are inspired through our work!

Sew cute! Is there any way that you remember the faabric manufacturer? I’ve been looking for a print like this. Thanks

No . . . but wish we did!! It’s the kind of fabric we’d love to shop for similar prints.
