Tales of . . . THE BIN

{Phone rings}: Hello.

Sister Momma: Ummm…do you have any ideas what the girls could wear for our family pictures tomorrow afternoon??

Australian Smocking & Embroidery

Us: {insert LOOOOONNNNNGGGG pause}

That was us a few months back.

Speechless.

Australian Smocking & Embroidery

And, with no answer to give….

Until the phrase, “WHAT’S IN THE BIN?”, was born!!

That’s right…THE BIN.

Australian Smocking & Embroidery

An area where completed garments of varying sizes were stored many, many, many years ago.

Sans children…..sans nieces.

Australian Smocking & Embroidery

Thankfully, “THE BIN” didn’t let us down! But, that’s for another post….another day.

Australian Smocking & Embroidery

As for this creation?? It too, was found in “THE BIN” that day!!

Australian Smocking & Embroidery

A “coral floral” {say that 10 times fast} dress for EA!!

It spins.

Australian Smocking & Embroidery

It twirls.

Australian Smocking & Embroidery

It seconds as a parachute at times….coming in for a landing.

Australian Smocking & Embroidery

Yet, another “score” for “Team Frances Suzanne”! We seriously may cry when all items from THE BIN have been revealed…

But, for now – expect to see some more “Tales of . . . THE BIN” posts until that day comes.

Great minds think alike.
I too have a bin and there is a smocked dress in it almost identical to this one…even with the same tucked hem and embroidery on the collar! I think is was an AS&E inspired creation.
Looking forward to seeing all your “bin” items!

That is so pretty. It’s been so sad that my girls have gotten to old/opinionated for smocked dresses. They are my favorite. This one is beautiful!

What a beautiful dress you found in “The Bin”!!! Of course, it looks gorgeous on your sweet niece! “The Bin” at our house is called “Closet Creations”. LOL! I used to have 3 closets brimming with creations, but now, with 4 grandchildren (3 girls!), I’m down to 2 closets. It is wonderful to be able to pull something out that is perfect for special events. I will also be sad when the creations are all gone – but what a blessing that we have little ones to wear these special creations that we’ve enjoyed making.

Keep up the beautiful work!!!

That dress is GORGEOUS! I love the smocking and embroidery. I, unfortunately, have no bin, but I love that you do!

I bet you’ll have a bin before grandkids come…..many, many years down the road.

Oh my goodness! Another As&E creation! The bin is a good name I like it! I don’t have three closets of beautiful clothes like Kathy said she had but I am getting there! I have three tubs instead! They are all waiting for the baby to grow (but she will need to take her time) and then when the three kids are all grown I can wait for the grandbabies to arrive so they can wear them. I have boy things too! It’s a truly beautiful dress and I couldn’t help but laugh at the parachute comment!

Three tubs is VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! And, for the record, I still see a parachute when I look at that photo….
