“Flip this Pattern” with Brownie-Goose

And, so we begin again!!! Another fabulous month of “Flip this Pattern” is set to begin… and, if the “September Showcase” didn’t leave you inspired, we don’t know what would…. What a way to kick off the “Flip this Pattern: Fall 2014” season!!

FlipthisPatternFall300px

What better way to kick off a month of FLIPS than by having a Viewers’ Choice Winner from last year share a creation using the pattern of the month – the Brownie-Goose, Hattie Dress & Tunic??

Brownie-Goose, Hattie Dress

Veronica, of sewVery, previously won the Viewers’ Choice prize for her FLIP of the Violette Field Threads, Josephine Dress.

She didn’t disappoint with her interpretation of the Brownie-Goose, Hattie Dress either!!  You’ve got to see what she did with the pattern….looks like a perfect transitional piece of clothing to me!

I would love to do the Hattie dress/coat in Teagan White’s Fort Firefly. So perfect for fall. I would use the Girl print for the dress and the tealish grey lanterns for the coat.

I would love this in a pretty jewel tone for fall… maybe even a wool blend for warmth.

I would make the coat in a mustard yellow with the ruffle trim being white with black polka dots. Love your creation by the way!

I’m thinking knit and chiffon. In autumn colors like rust and cream. Now I want it for me? Maybe I should “flip” it to adult size!

I’m trying to make everything coordinate this fall by sewing in jewel tones (magenta, navy, teal, chartreuse, charcoal, purple). So it would be in one of those!
