March “Flip this Pattern”: Competitors and Prizes

It’s time to welcome spring with a perfect transitional shirt….

And, now it is time to “meet the competitors” for this month!
The March “Flip this Pattern” competitors have been chomping at the bit to show you their “Flipped Creations”….and they are ready to knock your sewing socks off…..trust us! But first, a little introduction of each is in order {introduced in the order of their upcoming “Flipped Appearance”}!
Amy {Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop}

Amy Hindman is the designer/owner of Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop. She’s a wife and a mother to two toddlers and one little bundle of joy due this month! She loves sewing practical and fun clothing for her children. Amy is a BYU graduate with a business degree. She started sewing when her oldest child was just a baby. In her spare time she loves to read, run and snow ski.

Vanessa {lbg studio}

Hello! I’m Vanessa and I blog at lbg studio . That’s where I share sewing projects and my love of photography which often feature my 6 year old daughter, Syd. Though I was interested in both long before becoming a mother; it wasn’t until after that I really dove in. My blog and all that goes along with it has been a huge part of my life for the last 5 years, and I look forward to continuing to grow. I’m excited to be a part of Flip This Pattern and can’t wait to share what I “flipped”!
Scary {Shaffer Sisters}

Hi friends, I am excited to be here! And I am honored to be competing against two ladies that I love and respect. I can’t wait to see how they expand this great unisex pattern.

5 Quick facts about Scary:

  1. My family are my very best friends. Which means my life is full of 2-3 hour phone calls to Jo and once a week my family spends a whole day having fun (which Ryder has termed “Family Fun Day”).
  2. I love to cook as much as I love to sew.  I hope to one day write a cookbook and own a little diner.
  3. My dream house would be out in the country but still close to a big city so I could do shopping and have fast internet.
  4. I asked my husband on our first date, but he asked me on every one after that. We were each others first kiss and he is the calm to my craziness.
  5. I am shy in person, and long winded in writing; which sometimes gets me in trouble.
If you want to know anything else about me come to our blog for more information.

And, what competitor prizes are up for grabs this month??
Aside from the thrill of victory, the “viewers’ choice winner” will receive the following from our fabulous sponsors:
SPONSOR #1:

We love, love, love the Fat Quarter Shop . The service is hard to beat and it’s user-friendly site is easy to navigate between pages. A customer can search by collection, designer, theme, or color. How cool is that?!?!? Kimberly and her staff strive to keep amazing products and service readily available to the customer! Expect quality and an overall fantastic experience when dealing with this company….

Fat Quarter Shop is graciously giving the winner a $30 gift certificate to use at their online store.

SPONSOR #2:

Who doesn’t love Birch fabrics???  The texture alone in these fabrics might cause one to swoon, but throw in the design component of each fabric line and …..insert audible gasp….. it is almost too much for the fabric lover to take! Birch Fabrics, mixes retro style with whimsical juvenile accents that lend themselves perfectly to nursery bedding, while still being sophisticated enough for pillows on your sofa, or curtains in your craft room. In addition, their fabric is produced from 100% organic cotton, and printed with low impact dyes.
Birch fabrics will be giving the winner 2 yards of fabric within a specified fabric line – winner’s choice of the fabric within the line!

SPONSOR #3:

Blank Slate Patterns is so excited to see what these designers showcase, Melissa is contributing some patterns to the fabulous prize package.  Blank Slate Patterns is graciously giving the winner a 3 pack of patterns from the online store.

*******************************************************************

And for the rest of you??? Well….the March Sew-Along Linky Party opens tomorrow….and an awesome prize package for the sew-along winner will be announced at that time! You don’t want to miss the scoop…
