Introducing: The Norah {a pattern by Mouse House Creations}

Have you heard the news??
Hayley, of Welcome to the Mouse House, has begun designing and selling patterns of her own!
When she surprised us with her first pattern {the Norah Dress} in our inbox,
we began brainstorming an outfit for CL….one that she could enjoy….and SOON!

The Norah Dress comes with multiple options – both for summer and winter. It is extremely versatile in both the dress and tunic lengths. There are three sleeve variations – long, short, and no sleeve. You can also mix and match with the collar options: collar and ties, just collar, or no collar.  If that isn’t enough, Hayley gives you the options to sew with a variety of fabrics to create your desired look.

We love, love, love the lines of this pattern!!  The unique, cinched peter pan collar had us from “HELLO!” When discussing potential “Holiday Wear” for our nieces, this pattern fit perfectly in our plans. You see, we had already planned this little creation for EA….and needed a ‘coordinating, but not matchy-match’ garment for CL.

We went very ‘conservative’ on our creation – solids and piping! Surprise, surprise…
We might have developed a little sewing crush on the gray corduroy used….
Instead of using traditional Christmas colors, we opted to go with a more ‘winter color scheme’
….incorporating gray, white, and a pop of mint / icy blue.
It will get more wear from “Little Miss CL” that way – or so we hope {that’s the plan at least}!

Precious, precious, precious!!
We see many more “Norahs” in our nieces’ wardrobes in the future…..
this pattern fits our particular sewing style to a tee…
That, and it is “easy breezy” to sew up!  A DEFINITE perk in our opinions….
If you need more inspiration to complete your Norah pattern purchase,
check out these amazing ladies’ creations in the upcoming days!
Thanks, Hayley, for inviting us to be a part of your Norah Pattern Tour!!
We have loved sharing our simple creation with your readers today….
and look forward to seeing others’ creations in the days ahead….

I think Hayley may have created this pattern just for you two! It does suit your aesthetic to a tee! And CL looks like a beautiful, little southern lady in her Norah dress. Just perfect! Oh, and by the way–War Eagle! I think the Norah would look great in orange and blue, too. Don’t you?

Corduroy is among my favorite fabrics, and grey is one of my favorite colors, so of course I love this dress. =) I’ve been saving photos of collars similar to this one for a while. It’s darling.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments on CL’s outfit: simple, clean, and classic. We laughed and told Hayley we might win the award for the plainest creation for her pattern tour :)….
