Flashback Sewing: Shelby Kate and Britches & Bloomers {both modified}

How about this gem?? Today {and this holiday season}, we are grateful that CL’s frame has allowed for seasonal overlap of clothing!! We didn’t think this was feasibly possible, yet it has worked out!
So, what exactly does that mean?? You get another “Flashback Sewing” experience today!
We used the pattern, Bonnie Blue, Shelby Kate and modified it into a top.
There was piping between the yoke and skirt area.
There were fussy-cut covered buttons.
There was an additional {and removable} flower accent.
Then, for the pants, we used the pattern, Jackie Clark Britches and Bloomers. These, too were modified to fit the style we were looking to replicate.
Piping {again} was added above the ruffle area.
A double ruffle accented the base of the pants.
So, our style has changed somewhat since making this creation….
But, CL still looks pretty precious {if we do say so ourselves}!!
