I am the big sister over at Shaffer Sisters. That means, I am a little slower with the technology, and a little busier with older kids. I am super excited to be part of this series, and I am happy that it is December! I can’t wait to see everyone’s projects.
Sally here from Daisy Chain Creations, a gathering of my creations, which include not only sewing, but other crafts, gardening and my kids (2 boys ages 15 and 12 and 2 girls, ages 10 and 5). I also just started a new adventure over at Sew Cool for the Tween Scene…a site geared for those sewing for a special tween in their life. This blog was developed for inspiration, ideas, and helpful hints as sewists enter a new stage in sewing for growing children. Sewing (and many other crafts) I learned as a young girl for 4-H. As for blogging, I started many years ago as a way to keep in touch with my other crafty friends with whom I used to get together to craft/sew/inspire/talk/eat…you get the picture? We all scattered across the country and saw blogging as a continuation of those craft nights. Fast forward a couple of years to when I discover the whole new world of sewing blogs and the wonderful people behind them. I still find it amazing that there is this whole community out there that “gets” what I like to do and feel honored to have a little part of it with this series. Thanks for having me, Ashley and Emily!
Hi All, I am Suzanne and I blog over at Winter Wonderings… where I started sharing my sewing and crafting projects after baby girl was born. Honestly, it started as a way to fill those middle of the night feeding hours, and then I was hooked. I also have twin boys who just turned two in February – three children, two and under, is quite a handful and an adventure all rolled into one. If it weren’t for my amazingly supportive husband, Julian, I wouldn’t be here at all.
(yeah, they’re cute enough to keep)
