You two ladies are hilarious and very talented! No doubt your niece LOVES that adorable ‘faux romber’.
Got to go now…have a post myself to finish up ;-//
We took the easy way out with this challenge….but, she loves it! Looking forward to seeig yours…
Wow… looks great. I actually did a real romper out of the remix, but I will only blog about it in a few days. I am so excited for the PR&P reveals! The fun is about to start!
So cute and you’re right – different look for sure but soooooo sweet! I can’t wait to see Magda’s romper – I did one too!!! (Well, overalls!)
AH! So funny that we think alike so many times… can’t wait to see yours either.
Looking forward to seeing both of your creations…. I bet each will be unique!
he he My version is a romper (overalls)as well.
love that one! I’m indeed more the bold colours person so this is straight along my alley though I also always loved to see your other clothes with the more subtle colours!
Thanks! We’re here to keep our readers guessing :)!
Darling remix and so practical! Love the braids on the little miss. She sure is a cutie!
The braids helped the photoshoot. She kept saying, “thank goodness I have my braids!” I think she thought it was helping to keep the warmer temps at bay.
Great remix! Precious AND practical! She obviously loves it, too. I’m a puddle over those little pig-tail braids. She’s getting so big!
Project Run and Play! Wahooo! Wahoooooooo!
Humidity is alive and well down our way!! Can you tell??? Yes, looking forward to some project run and play fun!!
What a fun remix! Love the bright colors, your niece looks super cute.
Daring and absolutely cute remix!
Daring…. I like it! Will we be seeing your creations pop up in the linky party??
It’s so much fun to see you guys stepping out of your comfort zones! Love this fun outfit!
Love your remix! So ambitious with the chevron dyeing! The only candy that came to mind for a guess is maybe salt water taffy? But then the thought & energy part throws me off…oh well, I’m going to be surprised.
Store bought tie-dyed chevron towel doesn’t count as too ambitious :). The stretch was more of a fabric clue….instead of a candy one. The seam ripper was in full disassembling mode today. Ho hum.

Oh, I love how fun this is. You guys did a great job at stepping out of your comfort zone. The hard week for me is going to be Mad about Plaid. I’m not really mad about plaid. I don’t know which weeks I’ll be doing yet. Hopefully week 1-4, but I haven’t cut out my fabric yet. Haha. It has been insane lately. And I’ve definitely been sewing. Just in ways that will not manifest themselves until next week.
My guess for stretch and candy is bubble gum (although laffy taffy or air heads might be just as likely). Great work as always ladies!

Plaid: We lucked up….and had a plaid project envisioned already {and fabric bought}, so we are just going to check it off our list WHILE sewing for PR&P.
So excited to see your ‘candy challenge’. Two of our three pieces are done for next week, and it was far from smooth sailing. Stretch was a ‘fabric clue’ more than a candy clue. Given our thought process through this challenge, we SHOULD HAVE done the airhead suggestion… several ‘duh’ moments…
That’s very lovely and comfy. Both of you did really great job!Love your choice of tie-dyeing chevron towel. Seems like it’s not easy to handle, isn’t it? I’m working on my overall version. Hope it done on time.
We cannot take any credit for the tie-dyed towel….It was store bought, and used as is… :). Easy way out!
Faux rompers are the best – comfy and cute. Love these colors. I’m curious to see your next look now – the candy theme is more difficult than I would’ve guessed.
As much as we love candy / junk food…..this next challenge stretched us in the creativity department!! We hope to see a creation from you during the candy week too…
This is SO cute! I am in love. I was just thinking the other day that I needed to find a cute romper just like this. It reminds me of my childhood! Great job!!! Can’t wait for the candy challenge!
I’d love for you to link to our Fall Clothing Series!
We wore our fair share of rompers too – back in the day…..some terry cloth ones when we were young, and some other versions when we were much too old to be wearing rompers.
Romper a are quite a hit in our house…and a faux romper just makes perfect sense! I love it and your fabric is awesome!
Thanks Teresa…..Walmart towel at its finest :)!
Oh my gosh, why have I never thought of a faux romper? I love the look, and my daughter does too, but what an inconvenience. You just might be a genius! Love this outfit–so much fun!
Thanks Beth! I think our niece would live in something like this, day in and day out – the only thing that would be better is if there were no straps to tie, making it completely manageable for her to dress herself…
Fantastic remix, very comfy! I’m just loving that fabric.
Straight from the Walmart beach towel aisle…. :).
I love your faux romper. The first one was so cute, but with this one I can see even more benefit since she’s potty trained. (She’s looking so grown all of a sudden too)
It’s funny that you reel from remixes and yet you do so well with them. AND you started a whole series about remixes. Haha. Your confessions are killing me
Oh dear….you are on to us! Maybe a certain series was born because of our inability to do a good remix, and we wanted all the pointers and help we could get…. :)!
REmixes make you reel? So sorry……
I think they are one of our favorite parts about PR&P because we get to see all the creativity that goes around from one pattern!
Darling faux romper!
Elizabeth
Let me clarify…. I LOVE remixes – they are just difficult for us. It is amazing to watch others’ creativity through them…
Ive got to make some of these for my girls!…what a perfect swimsuit cover up too! Maybe towels are still on clearance…
Great idea! We may need to do the same….
I love the colours on this! Makes me wish we weren’t headed into fall and I could have put ties on my remix!
