This whole outfit is awesome! I love the cardigan idea from the raglan pattern…I am definitely going to have to try that one out!
I love the skirt! What a clever way to make the ridges! And that cardi! I want one. Great job!
You nailed the challenge! The outfit is awesome. LOVE the skirt. I have to try the cording technique.
So sweet! Love this outfit & great pics!!
Oooh! I love this one! now I have a cavity from the sweetness of your model and hunger pangs caused by that Reeses…
cool outfit!
Oh my goodness! This is just so perfectly cute and Reese’s-ey. You definitely knocked this one out of the park. Well done!
Oh, this is absolutely perfect! I love the skirt so much. Just like a peanut butter cup. Seriously, great job on this one!
WOW!!! I love this
The skirt looks edible. I love the attention to detail.
This is wonderful! I love that it is clearly inspired by the Reece’s, but is functional for “normal” wear…that is always one of my goals with these challenges too. Great job!
Amazing as always. I love it. It’s so fun seeing all your great design choices in fabric and style. It’s bright and neutral all at the same time. Scary and I also struggled with how to meet the needs of this week, but not go overboard. I give you an +A.

Brilliant! Really well done.

So you found a new way to use cording…and it is a winner. Beautiful outfit.
Deborah
Oh I am so glad your second date with Mr. Knit went swimmingly cute. And that pleated skirt is to die for cuteness. You gals are rockstars!
With Love,
Scary
Mr. Knit is growing on us…..so many perks to a continued relationship (quick sew, no iron, etc.)!! Rockstars?? Yeah, we are about as far from that in real life. Honestly!
SO GOOD.
I really need a Reece’s cup right now
This is great!! My husband just looked up and saw this and said he thought of Reese’s right away (before seeing the wrapper)! I’m not familiar with it being Aussie, but can see you did a great job! I love how the skirt mimics the ridges on the cup and the layered buttons too. Sweet!!
We soooooooo need to mail you a Reese cup, Suz…….you just haven’t lived yet :)! Glad it met hubby’s approval – and that he could ‘see’ the candy in our creation.
This is fantastic! the colour pick is so perfect, and the craftsmanship is so good! I’m loving the cording technique, but thinking probably is very complicated. Well done Ladies!
Not complicated at all….trust us, if we can do it – it will be a cinch for you! Fold wrong sides together, iron, place cording between wrong sides (in the crease), stitch right next to the cording, and voila!
Clever outfit! You definitely get the Reese’s cups vibe from the enitre ensemble but the pieces are still cute as individual items of clothing.:)
Love, love, love, those cuffs. What an adorable outfit!
CUFFS = Part of the original pattern….. thank goodness!!!
Any chance you’ll do a tutorial on how to make the pattern a cardigan? Love it! Never thought to stack buttons before.
We’d like to do a tutorial eventually….but since our rendition wasn’t ‘smooth sailing’, we want to try our hand at it again before advising others how to make one. **We began by looking at LBG’s yellow cardigan from PR&P season 6, first week – if you just can’t wait!
Oh wow! Mission accomplished! That skirt totally looks like an upside down reeses cup. I thought that before I even read what you wrote. I love the details on the skirt and the jacket too.
This is fantastic!! She totally looks like a peanut butter cup, nice work on the skirt, totally awesome 😀
that is SO cute! The colors are perfect for Reeses! Love love love the whole outfit. I linked up a Milky Way inspired outfit for my son… SO much fun! Emily@nap-timecreations
I’m so impressed with the texture of the skirt!
That skirt made me swoon. The whole thing is just as wonderful as an actual Reese cup.
well thought outfit. I love how you incorporated your inspiration into it.
Great minds think alike. I love how the cording turned out on your skirt. Totally Reese’s without looking costumy. I really like your idea with the buttons! Great job as always.
Love this! It’s adorable and I LOVE Reese’s
Such a perfect outfit! Love the skirt and the bright pop of color from the cardigan. You guys never cease to amaze me!
I love this yummy outfits! And beautiful pictures as always!
Great fall colors & a practical, classic, great outfit.

This is great guys, love your interpretation (love me some peanut butter and chocolate!) and all the details..especially the skirt. I love how it mimics pleats (or at least it seemed to..) without all the ironing involved! Sadly candy didn’t make the cut for me this week…I just don’t have time
We were so sad to read that you wouldn’t be sewing a ‘candy inspired outfit’…..you always do such wonderful work!
What a great concept and execution! Awesome job!
This is really incredible! I must say that I admire your planning and execution!! I couldn’t even think of a specific candy and here you are with even the buttons looking like yours!!! WOW!!!
Ha! Sometimes we OVERLY-plan before executing…… The buttons were a thought while standing in the button aisle of JoAnns, and searching for Reese’s images on our phone. Oh, and having a big discussion if it were yellow inside of brown, or vice versa….
This is so clever! I love the flip and she looks adorable.
Exceptional really! I love the skirt with the cording. Great job!
I love it! All the details make the practical pieces come together into a darling outfit that perfectly captures a peanut butter cup!
Superb! Love the colours and your concept is breathtakingly clever. I’d wear that outfit myself whereas the whole ‘candy inspiration’ idea would never normally lend itself to anything wearable in my opinion.
From two ladies who LOVE their candy – all kinds, all sorts, we whole-heartedly agree on the wearability of such a challenge. **IF we give little sister a ‘candy-inspired’ outfit, I’m bucking for a lemon drop…
I love this. How CUTE!! The details on the skirt are awesome. I also love the buttons you used.
Oh my goodness! This outfit is adorable! Awesome job ladies (as usual ;))
I love this! Your cardigan is, without question, the most perfectly home-sewn one I’ve seen, and the ridges on the skirt make it look just right. Love this whole outfit. =)
Wow, Charity…thanks! The cardigan just about pushed us over the edge with this challenge. Multiple disassembling of pieces, cutting, reassembling, etc. involved….
This is amazing! So great without being a costume
That piping skirt technique is perfect! It looks just like the ridges. You ladies did an amazing job with the theme. Those stacked buttons?!?! I love the idea of taking off the cardi “wrapper” too.
Mmmmm…Reese’s perfection! Your outfit gives me peanut butter cup cravings!!! Beautifully done!
Good enough to eat! I love the skirt.
Thank you all!!! Your comments have brightened our week….. Now, if only we had a reese’s cup to enjoy….
My first thought….”now I need a Reese’s.” Yum-o! Lovely take on the theme.
Wahoo! you won! And somehow, I missed this in the linky. Great job Gals.
with love,
Jo
Hey, congrats on your well-deserved win!!!!
Congratulations! You guys did an amazing job! I was so excited that you won…you totally deserved it!
This is super cute! You ladies did a fabulous job. And the stacked buttons, and skirt piping……speechless. Congrats!
congrats. Girls! You really did do a fabulous job with this! I want a cardigan just like that!
