“Tea Party” on the “Seashore”

I admit, the title might be a bit misleading….
“Tea Party” on the “Seashore“
But, that’s exactly what it is, folks! CL’s coordinating outfit {see EA’s outfit here} is just that:
Oliver and S Tea Party Dress on top of Oliver and S Seashore Bloomers.
This “matching set” came to be upon realizing we had more fabric to use
after completing EA’s Seashore Dress.
And, of course, the never-ending white sheet was still screaming to be used some more.
{You can read more about our white sheet sewing here….two pages worth!}
So, we opted to ‘coordinate’ the girls’ attire slightly….
and finish off some of the remaining fabric in the process {not the white sheet, mind you}.
We sewed an Oliver and S 6-12 mo Tea Party Dress,
and paired it with the Oliver and S 6-12 mo Seashore Bloomers.
And the outcome??
It just makes you want to kiss someone….
Or hug them….tightly…..
It left us reaching in our pattern stash to see what Oliver and S pattern might be sewn next.
*Hint: it’s for a certain, year-long series going on right now….and is July’s feature pattern!
GUESSES, anyone?
So, what are you working on?? Is it a tried-and-true pattern? A new pattern? Anyone doing some “selfish sewing” right now? We’d love to hear about what’s on your sewing table….

Gosh they’re cute! I’m late night sewing pyjamas but dreaming of a long sleeved Roller Skate flip for our winter weather….. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Oh, I love those dresses! I might just have to get them for my girls. I’ve already made a tea party dress for my oldest’s doll and I know she’d love to match…

I’m working on the Meringue skirt from the Colette book. A project for me! I really want to finish it up in time for our vacation. I’m also thinking up my flip for August. I bought the pattern and am thinking of the mods I want to make and the fabrics I want to use. I’m excited and nervous at the same time!

You are so brave! We’ve not attempted sewing for ourselves :). Glad to hear you’ll be flipping with us in the upcoming month…..

Very cute! Love the subtle use of the leftover fabric. I’m currently working on curtains for my daughters kindergarten… Not the most interesting job, and a huge stash of nice patterns are waiting…

Well, I bet there will be a thankful teacher :)! Maybe the patterns will speed up the curtain completion.

Charming children, dresses, and photos. I love when you post! The little outfit is adorable and ‘goes with’ rather than matches like an identical dress. This is my favorite type of ‘sister sewing’. Bravo!

Beautiful! I love how the white Tea Party looks with the piping against it.:) And of course you’re sewing a Roller Skate dress/tunic next! I have swimsuits that need to be sewn. K wasn’t feeling the best this morning so I stayed home from church to be with her. I’ll be sewing as soon as I catch up on blogs/emails and laundry!

Love both outfits!
They are so adorable (love the hugs pics).
On my sewing table this week: flip this pattern (top secret) and a few pattern testing (can’t wait to share it).
