KCW Recap: A Whole Lotta Talking…and Some Behind-the-Scenes Sewing

Confession: KCW came and went and all we posted about was a personal story
of an event from two years ago. Glad we could clear the air on that.

Every week is KCW for us. We eat, sleep, and breathe children’s wear.

And since we’ve been awfully quiet the past week or so, we’ll give you a little behind the scenes
of what really happened during KCW as well as a preview of what’s to come!

We will begin the month of May with a free pattern
{that we had the joy in helping come to fruition} from one of our friends/readers!

Think: adorbs and free.

On May 7th, we’ll be over at Terra’s {Mama Says Sew} and her ‘Just Sew it Series’.

She has an entire month of guest posts scheduled (while she competes in Project Sewn)!
Those who follow us on facebook and instagram have gotten a sneak peek.

But, if you are still curious, think: ‘Sew-vivor Emerald Challenge’.

Then, on May 10th, we will be over at Heidi’s {Elegance and Elephants}
for her second installment of Knock It Off.
Elegance & Elephants
Be sure to check out the wonderful line-up Heidi has in store for the month of May!
 Elegance & Elephants
For this one, think: ‘mini boden-esque’ + a freebie for our readers!

*Don’t get your hopes up on that Butterfinger. Definitely not the ‘freebie,’
and has long since bitten the dust!

May 13th – AN EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT…One we are practically ‘FLIPPING’ to announce….
(I realize everyone has stopped right now in order to pencil this in on your calendars…
so I’ll give you a minute. . . . .)

On May 24th, we’ll be over at Project Run and Play’s Sew Along Friends,
sharing what we think is a fun tutorial with loads of possibilities!

Think: Elegance and Elephant’s bubble shorts….with a fun addition!

Towards the end of the month, we will be over at Jenn’s {A Jennuine Life} guest posting in her
“Lost Arts Series“. We are excited to be a part of this series, but feel a tad inept in this area.
After much discussion, we THINK we are going to try/attempt something new.

Think of it as doing our part to keep the “Lost Arts” alive and well!

Finally, throw in a little pattern testing for our friend, An from Straight-Grain,
and that will round out the month for us. An has been ‘teasing’ her readers with this dress
for a while, and we are thrilled to be sewing one up for our niece!

Take the time to go and check out some of these fabulous series, as well the wonderful bloggers involved in making them happen! And, of course, be sure to follow along!
