We made time in the Spring of 2018 to visit Farmhouse Fabrics . . . for their 1st annual “tent sale”. While we did not make it to the 2019 sale, we were tickled to see it become an annual event!! The prices were FAN.TAS.TIC!!
Goodness. We have been trying to destash . . .and then we eliminate all progress we have made in one fatal swoop!! But, it sure was fun . . . and we will definitely be using our purchases for many months to come.
This striped fabric was part of our purchases that day. We are partial to stripes, so we knew we could come up with “something” to make with it.
We chose to sew the Children’s Corner, Katina: a pattern we had yet to sew, but thought would be a good choice for the summer heat.
The Katina is a PRECIOUS pattern!! **And, an easy sew!! It’s one of those patterns you can dress up or down – depending on your fabric selection, as well as if you smock or not.
There wasn’t a whole lot of time invested in this project, yet we think it made a darling, summer sundress for a growing child that is desperately needing her aunts to sew . . . and sew fast!
We already want to sew another one . . .but, given our sewing plans, it probably won’t happen until next spring / summer!
So many good patterns, so little time!!
Speaking of . . . what other pattern might you choose for this fabric? Because . . . well . . . there’s more!!
