That’s right!!!
We couldn’t sit this one out!!
The pattern had a vintage vibe.
Our niece needed some more long-sleeved attire.
And, it was October’s “Flip this Pattern” of choice.
Too bad we didn’t post our UNflipped version of it prior to the competitors’ creations.
But, such is life…..and here it is, nonetheless!
We purchased the fabric at a favorite shop on the way to our Orlando Sewcation.
The print was fun….yet unexpected / different {for us}….and flat out lovely with some special shoes.
That, AND…we knew the perfect buttons to complete the look…
So, was our niece a fan??
Yes….she actually liked it and wore it willingly…
Even looking for rain clouds moving in during the photoshoot {a COMPLETE farce, mind you!}.
Oh, and we appeased the child by taking a picture of her armpit {per request}…and then her other one {so one wouldn’t get “all the attention”}.
How do you like the look she shot us when we told her to tell her armpit to smile?? YEAH….that sums up EA!
And, you know what happens when armpits are raised…..it’s only natural….
So, another outfit for EA’s “fall wardrobe” has been completed. And, it’s a winner!!
“Slow and Steady”…that’s our motto!!
And you?? Have you completed all of your “fall sewing” for the year??
Pattern: Brownie-Goose, Hattie Dress Size: 3T {with 2″ added to the length} Notes to Self: Add interfacing to the cuffs and ruffled collar area to create a “stiffer look.”
Well, at least you got it done! Which is better that we did…
We came up with a great idea, the PERFECT flip! But we were so busy we didn’t even get the pattern purchased…sigh. I think with the next flip I’ll buy the pattern so I HAVE to sew it up…and not waste the money! Anyway, love your Hattie.
I LOVE those boots! I want a matching pair, plus pairs for each of my daughters. (How adorable would they be in 1-year-old size?!)
Oh, and the dress is cute too. 😉
What is the fabric called, do you remember the manufacturer?
Here you go: It is Riley Blake’s Twice as Nice in Spice, Garden Grey! The gingham was a Riley Blake fabric as well.

LOL…I’ve been the recipient of a very similar look many times! The dress is super cute, armpits and all.:)
