And, so we begin again!!! Another fabulous month of “Flip this Pattern” is set to begin… and, if the “September Showcase” didn’t leave you inspired, we don’t know what would…. What a way to kick off the “Flip this Pattern: Fall 2014” season!!
What better way to kick off a month of FLIPS than by having a Viewers’ Choice Winner from last year share a creation using the pattern of the month – the Brownie-Goose, Hattie Dress & Tunic??
Veronica, of sewVery, previously won the Viewers’ Choice prize for her FLIP of the Violette Field Threads, Josephine Dress.
She didn’t disappoint with her interpretation of the Brownie-Goose, Hattie Dress either!! You’ve got to see what she did with the pattern….looks like a perfect transitional piece of clothing to me!
Need more inspiration for the Hattie Dress? Be sure to check out our pinterest board for “Flip this Pattern”!
The sew-along opens tomorrow, and will remain open until October 23. Competitor Flips will be showcased the week of October 19, and voting will begin October 24.
In the meantime, grab your copy of the pattern here {and receive 20% off ALL Brownie-Goose patterns from now through October 10, midnight EST}. Enter the discount code, FLIPTHISPATTERN, to secure your discounted copy of the pattern today!
Or…..if you are feeling lucky, enter to win two Brownie-Goose Patterns of your choosing in the rafflecopter below {psst: there will be TWO WINNERS}! **And, comment below telling us what fabric / color combination you would use to sew your Hattie for “Double Entry Points”!!
I would love to do the Hattie dress/coat in Teagan White’s Fort Firefly. So perfect for fall. I would use the Girl print for the dress and the tealish grey lanterns for the coat.
At the moment I’m crazy in love with the combination of grey and dark yellow! Love Love Love!
Cotton and Steel or Arizona
Love it!
I would love to see it in black and teal with accents of gray.
I would love this in a pretty jewel tone for fall… maybe even a wool blend for warmth.
I’m thinking fallish, creamy yellow +burnt orange sort of thing
I love the style of this dress, I don’t know if I can “flip it”, it is so perfectly perfect now!
I want this dress in the Flutter Fly fabric from Michael Miller
I would love to try this in the new Birch organics Acorn Trail fabric!
I would make the coat in a mustard yellow with the ruffle trim being white with black polka dots. Love your creation by the way!
Thank you!
I’m thinking knit and chiffon. In autumn colors like rust and cream. Now I want it for me? Maybe I should “flip” it to adult size!
very cute
Yeah!!! I am back! I had to take the summer off due to a massive move but I am hoping to be back in the game this month. I already have the pattern just need to figure out what I want to do with it! Cant’ wait to see what we all come up with!
Chelsey
I’m loving plums and golds together right now.
I’m trying to make everything coordinate this fall by sewing in jewel tones (magenta, navy, teal, chartreuse, charcoal, purple). So it would be in one of those!
I would love to see this in Riley Blake TEAL
Fancy Main Teal. I think it would be so adorable!!!
Gorgeous! Can any one join or do you have to be selected? I have the Hattie and LOVE it. Would love to try and play with it.
ANYONE can join the sew-along!! There will be a competition as well {with pre-determined contestants}. Prizes are awarded for both….so, by all means, jump in and join the fun. Here’s a link to the “sew-along linky party.”

I can envision a hattie in grey/ lilac and pink fabric for fall! Have the perfect fabric in my stash already.
I’d probably go with any blue fabric, I’m a sicker for blue.
because I’m a crazy cat lady, I’d LOVE to see the Hattie in any of the Sebastian colorways by Robert Kaufman!
Pink and Grey for my little lady
Oh so cute! I’d make a polka dots and/or stripes one.
