Our sister seldom….ummmmm, rarely…..okay, okay….hardly EVER requests a thing from us in regards to sewing.
She willing accepts what we’ve sewn, dresses our nieces in whatever garments we send her way, and even takes random pictures of the girls wearing the garments in their daily lives, with a text of “THANK YOU for my….”!
Yeah, she’s pretty awesome!!
Still, there is one particular garment she has requested…and mentioned often…as the birth of LG drew nearer.
A bubble dress….”just like CL’s“. This was CL’s go-to outfit, and one that “Sister Momma” used for nap time as well as going out!
This request was so great…she even mentioned multiple bubble dresses :).
So, that’s just what we did!
For our “Celebrate the Baby” series, we sewed two Straight Grain, Bubble Dresses for LG!! **Please note: the first Straight Grain Bubble Dress seen in this post was altered, using You and Mie’s tutorial for adding flutter sleeves.
Of course, it will be several months before she’ll enjoy them…but they are done, and ready and waiting for her in the closet.
We know ONE PERSON that is thrilled by the addition, and hope her daughter will be too :).
