These ladies have been chomping at the bit to show you their “Flipped Creations”….and they are ready to knock your sewing socks off…..trust us! But first, a little introduction of each is in order {introduced in the order of their “Flipped Appearance” for the upcoming week}!

Michelle {Falafel and the Bee}

michphoto5m

Hey everybody! My name is Michelle, and you can find me over at Falafel and the Bee.

Let’s see….

I am a 42 year old woman who is wife to the same man for 18 years and counting, and Mom to an 8 year old girl that I affectionately nicknamed “Falafel“, and to a 14 year old girl who my husband, at her birth, dubbed “The Bee“.

Whew. That’s a lot of numbers.

My grandmother bought me my first (and only) sewing machine (it’s a Singer Quantum XL-1) when we got engaged almost 20 years ago. I was terrified of it! When I had our first child, I decided that it was time to take out that machine (so that I could make her tiny little things), and started to get to know it better. I haven’t stopped since. I have learned (and am learning still) about sewing solely from the plethora of wonderful sewists on the internet!

Christina {2 Little Hooligans}

little black dress 009 copy copy

Hi, I am Christina and I blog over at 2 little hooligans. I am a married, stay at home Momma to three little ones who is obsessed with all things crafty and homemade. My blog is where I share our lives in New Hampshire, home renovations, gardening, crafting, sewing and of course lots of pictures of our kids. I first learned how to sew in highschool, but it wasn’t until after my second child was born five years ago that my love for sewing really grew. I started out by making baby items and before I knew it my mind was thinking up new designs for just about anything I saw that was made out of fabric. Sewing has become a passion of mine over the past few years and very few days go by when I haven’t sat behind my sewing machine to create something.

Caila {Caila Made}

Hi there! My name is Caila and I LOVE to sew! I share about sewing, family, and other loves (fabric!) on my blog, CailaMade  I just released my first sewing pattern for a little girl’s dress, the Desert Rose  and have been overwhelmed with the new love I feel for designing kid’s clothing. You can also find a lot of sewing tutorials and pattern reviews on my blog, so head on over! I’d love to meet you!

As you can see from this photo, I have a be-u-ti-ful family with three super-blond children and a handsome hubby that is happy to compliment everything I sew. I know, I’m one lucky gal! We live in the land of sun and palm trees: Southern California. I like to take pictures at the beach. We are permanently tan. My kids could all swim at the age of 2. It’s a pretty wonderful life, and I really can’t thank God enough for it!

Palak {Make It Handmade}

Hi, I’m Palak– a slightly sleep deprived mom who has loved sewing, knitting and crochet for her whole life. When I’m not chasing after my two rambunctious kids, or sitting behind my sewing machine, I write about my DIY exploits at my blog, Make It Handmade. I also own Sewistry, a site dedicated to stretching our sewing dollars with money saving projects, product reviews and buying guides. I’m so excited to be part of the Summer Flip This Pattern Series!

*****************************************************************************************************

Each “flipped creation” will be showcased here….Monday through Thursday of THIS WEEK {one competitor per day}. Then, on Friday, August 29, you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite of the four creations!!

*Please note: The Sew-Along closes on Thursday, August 28 at 11:00 PM CST.

Winners {Competitor and Sew-Along} will be announced the following Monday!
