November “Flip this Pattern”: Flipped Creation Three

Vanessa, from Designs by Sessa, is here to give you her “Flipped Creation”
for the Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop, Hangout Hoodie.
************************************************************************

I’ve always loved the Hangout Hoodie from Peek-a-Boo Pattern shop! I love a good classic hoodie and was excited to get the pattern to make as is, but also to flip, of course! So, without further adieu, I present you my Bow Button Cardi Hoodie!
I currently have this super sweet 10 month old foster baby in my home (wish I could show her face, because you’d all give her all the votes, just because she is so darn cute!). I have not gotten to sew very much for her, yet! I know you were expecting a boy flip, but NOT today! Haha! We are going PINK, and POLKA DOTS, and BOWS, because all girls deserve that kind of love! Believe me… this almost got a ruffle!
I knew I wanted a big dramatic bow that would girlie up this hoodie! And I love that this hoodie can boast the big bow either in front OR back and create two super cute looks!
Because I created a hoodie jacket, I added two inner facings on the inside and used them to create some contrasting piping along the front center. I used the same fabric as the hood, which I lined for extra sturdiness!
The bow can flip to the back, wrap around and knot, or stay in front! I just love the way it looks in the back with the hood! Sewing two sashes into the side seams of the hoodie, gave this the perfect character I was going for. Simple, keeping in line with being a hoodie, but adding that girl charm we all love!
 Lastly, I added a cute striped button to the front, so that it can stay closed either way you tie the bow!
Thank you so much, Ashley and Emily for having me this month! Also, a big thanks to Amy for the pattern… which I will be making as is for my son very soon! And with that, I will leave you to the votes! Lots of love to you all!
*************************************************************************
“Flip this Pattern” voting will begin tomorrow, Friday, November 22
and run through Sunday, November 24.

And, in the meantime, link up your “Flipped Creation”
{there are only a few hours left….the linky party ends tonight at 11:00 PM CST}
