Oh this is so adorable, Ajaire! Love the color-blocked racer back! The whole dress is so creative and original, awesome job! I bought some of that same knit and made a shirt for my daughter using the wrong side too

Thanks Heidi! Isn’t the subtle stripe on the wrong side so much better than the shiny solid? I’m so glad I’m not the only one 😉
Very awesome! And I love the idea of ‘flipping’ the fabric too…the two tones certainly made the dress more eye catching. Well done!
Thanks Sally! I can’t wait to see your flip.
Oh wow. this is so adorable and fitting for fall. you can definitely see the vest in the design yet it’s so different – love it.
Renee, I’m glad the vest shines through! It’s such a great pattern to begin with. And that knit fabric makes the dress so cozy. Thanks!
I love your flip! It’s such a different garment but it keeps the essence of the original. Those are my favorite flips. I love the color blocking, especially the fact that it’s the wrong and right sides of your fabric. Love!
I think the racerback of the vest was too cute not to keep. Thanks Raphaelle!
Awesome job Ajaire!! Love how you flipped the vest into a dress and flipped the fabric! So cute!!
The fabric “flip” was the best way I could thik of to show off that racerback detail without mixing fabrics. Thanks Meghan!
I also love the fabric flip! what a great touch.
Great job Ajaire! How cute is that!
Thank you Mie! I think the pigtails tipped it over the cute scale 😉
wow, so modern, looks comfy and cozy
It is very comfy Rachel. Too bad it was 80 degrees when we took the pics
Awesome job, Ajaire! Bean is SO precious, and the dress is perfect for fall! I love that you used the wrong side of the fabric — the contrast is great, and the racer back shape is too too cute.
Michelle, I think it’s going to be so cute this fall/winter. Nice and cozy. And I fell completely in love with the racerback vest so I had to use it in the flip. Thanks
Fun flip Ajaire! I bet this will be a favorite come the cool weather, I really like your take on the racer back.
Thanks Rachel (or Donna hehe). The color blocking was fun and a nod to the amazing original design
Love the dress! It’s perfect for fall and oh so cute!
It’ll be perfect for fall and with the extra length I gave it hopefully it’ll transition well to winter. Thanks Cindy!
Oh, Ajaire! This is absolutely amazing! I love that you turned a vest into an adorable faux wrap dress. So very creative!!! Your sweet little one looks like such a big girl.
Shannon, she’s growing so fast!
I can’t wait to see your flip too! It’s crazy going first haha.
Cutest dress ever!! I absolutely love this! All the details and contrasting fabric are just perfect.
Such high praise April! Thanks!
Such a great idea! Love the flip!
Thank you karly!
Ajaire! My favorite part is the button tab- love!! I want to try something like that! You ate so good at frankensteining your patterns…another thing for me to practice! A perfect flip!!
Amy, I was so happy with how the tab came out. I was just winging it so I had no idea if it would ruin the whole dress haha. I love how it looks with that big button. And frankensteining is my new favorite term
Love the model! She’s so cute!
We think she’s pretty cute too
Yea for getting the month of September started off {and taking a chance with the ‘mystery month’}!! What a comfy, sweet outfit….and I’m loving the ‘flip’ of fabric included in this challenge. Smart!
Thanks for hosting! The mystery was part of the fun 😉
That’s a great idea! I wouldn’t have thought of making the vest into a dress… very creative! I love the button loop too. =)
Thank you charity! The shape made a really great faux wrap bodice
I love how cute she is!! And what a great flip!
