It’s That Time Again: Project Run and Play, Season 7

As many of you are well aware of by now, we LOVE US some PROJECT RUN AND PLAY!! And, as you may have guessed: another season is about to begin…. Is anyone else a bit pumped about the possibilities?

With Season 7 only a few weeks away, we are gearing up for the sew-along challenges, while looking back at our sew-along entries from Season 6 and the All-Star Season!

If you’ve never participated in a Project Run and Play Sew-Along Linky Party, we’d love to take the opportunity to strongly encourage you to do so!! This series always pushes us to try sewing techniques we would not typically attempt. The creativity and ideas generated by others is absolutely fantastic, and the kind feedback from the sewing community is priceless…

In Season 6, we submitted four entries for the six challenges given. These entries included:

Week 1: The Pattern Remix, The Cottage Mama’s Party Dress.
Week 2: Stripes and Polka Dots
Week 4: Love is in the Air {Valentine’s Inspired}
Part One
Part Two
Week 6: Signature Style
Modeled Shots
For the All-Star Season…..we opted to participate in TWO of the FOUR challenges.
These entries include:
Week 2: All in the Details
Week 4: Special Occasion

Season 7 challenges have been announced, and they include:

Week 1: Pattern Remix using Oliver and S, Popover Sundress

Hold the presses…..we’ve already done a remix of this pattern in our first Project Run and Play Sew-Along. Of course, it was for ‘upcycle week’, but nonetheless it was completed. We are really going to have to give this some thought if we participate with another remix!

Week 2: Candy Inspired
Week 3: Mad for Plaid
Week 4: Signature Look

While gearing up for our potential sew-along entries, we are anticipating what the competitors (see list below) WOW us with during PR&P, Season 7:

Alexis from Lexi Made
Suz from sewpony
Summer from Sumo’s Sweet Stuff
Mie from Sewing Like Mad
Griet from Emma en Mona
Caila from Caila Made

What about you? Are you planning on participating in the sew-along this year? What challenge is the most intriguing to you? Which one would you be most interested in our participating? The brainstorming has begun….

This season looks like so much fun! I don’t think I’ll be sewing along this season, with a newborn in the house, but I wish I could!

Family first!!! Many more seasons of PR&P will be waiting for you to sew for that little bit…

I’m very excited about such short seasons. It means focusing and really doing a couple of amazing things (which is what you guys already seem to do!) instead of stretching too thin. The group of contestants is amazing and these themes are fun. I thought of you guys when I saw the pop over dress was the remix :)

Short seasons will be awesome! Less burnout, and less time to run behind. We are having difficulty with a few themes still…. There may be some NON-signature style garments showing up on our blog…..scary stuff!

I’m really excited. I’ve never played along before and I’m really hoping I can get enough sewing time to get it done. Lots of ideas are already swimming around in my busy brain. It’s one of my blogging goals to one day be good enough to join in as a contestant :)
I love your previous entries, so elegant and true to your style.

You will LOVE this sew-along…..and it will be great practice if you want to participate as a contestant one day!

The wheels are spinning! We’ll see if I can meet each week’s challenge – that’s my goal since I applied to be a contestant. I shouldn’t apply if I can’t sew along, which is why I made six looks for season 6.

Amen, sister! We are always amazed at linky party submissions of people that haven’t sewn along….or haven’t seemed to follow it in the past. HIGHLY STRESSFUL to do a submission per week – we’ve yet to do that feat (lke you).

I’m thinking of doing the first week and maybe the plaid challenge. This fall looks like it will be crazy busy with the kids in 3 different schools (elementary, middle, and high school…eek!) and 3 involved in sports (soccer, football, and cross country).

I’m looking forward to seeing what you 2 lovely ladies create!

We are still brainstorming here…..and seem stumped on at least one week. The plaid week is going to fall in line with something we had already planned to make…..who knows on the other 3 weeks.

I was dying to know the themes. I don’t think I will join the 4 weeks this time, my little model doesn’t need any newer summer tops or dresses to remix the matter, I have a slight idea for candy week, but we don’t celebrate Halloween in here, so I’m still thinking about it; i am excited about the plaid and signature although I have a hard time finding what my signature is. Can’t wait to see what you come up with, since you always surprise me!

Candy week = our nemesis at present! Plaid and signature should be covered….the other two ???? Who knows…

I’m so excited to be sewing along with you girls again! Project Run and Play is my favorite! I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with, you always have darling outfits for your nieces. (I’m jealous you have such adorable little girls to model for you!) That sundress remix you did is so cute, I just love that daisy in the pocket.
